today I'm going to be showing you what I have been working on. it's a poem called nothing ever happens.the poem is by Lorraine William. before I should you my poem here the original poem:
Nothing ever happens at my house.
It’s all so normal.
I’m doing homework.
Dad’s washing dishes.
Mum’s mowing the lawn.
Gran’s weeding the garden.
An alien’s landed in the backyard.
The alien wants a cup of sugar.
That’s three cups this week
The cat’s eating.
The dog’s playing.
Harry’s asleep in his cot.
B-o-r-r-r-i-n-g.
Nothing ever happens at my house.

I’m cleaning my room.
Dad’s preparing dinner.
Mum’s painting her nails.
Grandad’s pottering around in the shed.
A leprechaun has appeared in the backyard.
He’s searching for a pot of gold.
That’s three times this week!
The cat’s stretching.
The dog’s chasing his shadow.
Mathew’s glued to the TV.

My brother is in his room kissing a random pig.
