16/12/19 slj week 1 day 1 activity 1 : explorers Lillias

Hello my blogging tiger,

And today i'm doing the slj (summer learning journey) day 1 activity 1. So this topic is about that you have to make a list of ten food items. That you could take with you on a ocean voyage (i don't know what that is by the way). But I have to say why I choose that food i wanted. But on the voyage you/I don't have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at sea.

So here is what I choose and why:

  1. Veges because so then I can stay healthy
  2. Fruit because it has vitamin C and it's good for you.
  3. Water because I can die without water.
  4. Burger king because I like junk food (ever now and then).
  5. Wendy because I want some junk food on the boat.
  6. Chicken/any meat because of protein.
  7. Candy for me and other people on the voyage.
  8. Berry's because are high in vitamin C and also I could share with other people on boat.
  9. Yoget because I have no idea.
  10. Popcorn because I love popcorn.

So those are the foods (and water) that I choose. But if you disagree then can you tell me why? That is all for this blog post.

So see you guys on the next one bye!!!

  1. Kia Ora Lillias,

I am Kueni and I am working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey team this summer with the Ako Hiko Cluster. I am so excited as it is my first year apart of the programme and I am super stoked to read all of your blog posts along with the other bloggers from the Ako Hiko cluster.

I really enjoyed reading your blog post about the 10 foods you would take with you on your 3 week voyage with Nainoa. I like that you used specific detail when explaining why you would take specific food items on the voyage with you. I agree with all the foods you have chosen to bring on ocean voyage with you & I would not hesitate to pack popcorn either if I were you!

Have you ever been on something similar to an ocean voyage, it could even be a boat, ferry trip, kayak or canoe? If so let me know :)

I look forward to reading more of your blog posts over the summer break!
    Nga mihi,
    Kueni
